You don’t feel like yourself anymore
& you don’t know what to do about it.
Therapy for women in perimenopause navigating anxiety, brain fog, mood swings, identity shifts, and relationship changes, without being dismissed or
told “it’s just hormones.”
Virtual across California | In-person in Los Angeles
What’s happening to me?
This might be perimenopause, even if no one has said it out loud yet
You’re still functioning.
You’re still showing up.
But something feels… off.
You can’t think as clearly as you used to
Your memory feels unreliable
You’re more anxious, reactive, or overwhelmed
You don’t feel like yourself — and can’t explain why
You’re questioning your identity, your work, or your relationship
You’re exhausted from trying to hold it all together
And maybe the most confusing part?
Everyone around you notices the shift — but no one really understands it.
If this feels familiar, you’re not imagining it.
What’s actually going on
Perimenopause is not
just physical,
it’s psychological, emotional, and relational
Perimenopause is a neurological and hormonal transition that can impact:
Mood regulation
Cognitive clarity (brain fog, memory issues)
Anxiety and nervous system sensitivity
Emotional reactivity
Sense of identity
Relationship dynamics
And yet, most women are told to:
“just manage stress”
“get better sleep”
or worse — that it’s all in their head
It’s not.
Your nervous system is shifting.
Your capacity is changing.
And the strategies that used to work may not work anymore.
How I Work
How therapy with me helps during perimenopause
This isn’t just about coping.
It’s about understanding what’s happening in your body and building a new way of functioning that actually works for this stage of life.
Together, we:
Regulate your nervous system so you feel more stable day-to-day
Make sense of the cognitive and emotional changes you’re experiencing
Work through identity shifts — who you were vs who you’re becoming
Support your relationships as your needs and capacity change
Move from “something is wrong with me” to “this makes sense”
This is structured, active therapy — not just talking and venting.
Relationships & Perimenopause
Perimenopause doesn’t just affect you, it affects your relationships
Many women notice:
Increased conflict or distance in their relationship
Less patience or emotional bandwidth
Feeling misunderstood or alone
A shift in intimacy or connection
This isn’t because you’re “too much.”
And it’s not just a communication problem.
Your nervous system is under more pressure than it used to be.
I work with both individuals and couples to:
Understand what’s actually happening beneath the conflict
Reduce reactivity and emotional overwhelm
Rebuild connection in a way that fits this stage of life
Why this Work is Different
This is not traditional “talk therapy”
You don’t need more insight.
You don’t need more coping strategies.
You need support that actually matches what you’re going through.
My work blends:
Nervous system regulation
Evidence-based therapy approaches (ACT, Gestalt, Narrative, somatic work)
Identity and life transition work
Relational and attachment-focused therapy
So you don’t just understand what’s happening — you feel different in your life.
About
Hi, I’m Tracey
I’m a therapist who works with high-achieving women navigating anxiety, identity shifts, and major life transitions — including perimenopause.
I’m also a former NYC lawyer and U.S. military veteran, which means I understand the pressure of holding it all together on the outside while struggling internally.
My approach is structured, direct, and deeply supportive — so we’re not just talking about change, we’re creating it.
You don’t have to keep feeling like this
You are not broken.
You are in a transition that no one prepared you for.
And you don’t have to figure it out alone.
